On Sunday, doctors announced the first ever baby with HIV has been cured, according to The New York Times.

The baby, born in rural Mississippi, was treated with antiretroviral drugs aggressively around 30 hours after their birth in 2010; this is not something that is usually done.

If the cure is confirmed, it would make the baby the second human to ever be cured to the virus.
